Amanikan, Mojo Island, Indonesia
Luxury custom-built 32m teak coastal cruiser with 3 air-conditioned cabins
Price on request
Moored on Moyo Island, between Bali and Flores in the Indonesian Archipelago, Amanikan can be chartered from May to October to cruise the islands and visit the famous Komodo National Park. Amanikan is a luxury custom-built 32m coastal cruiser with a dedicated crew of 10, designed to reflect the appearance of a traditional teak spice trading vessel but with all the modern comforts. Once aboard this ultra-smart floating haven of teak, rattan and crisp linen, guests can take life at their own pace - snorkel, picnic on remote islands, enjoy diving or island hiking, or perhaps simply enjoy the dazzling beauty of the passing islets.
Accommodation
Amanikan has three above deck cabins - so all have lovely views and no disappointingly small portholes! The Master Cabin at the stern has expansive views, king sized bed and a large private sundeck. The main deck also accommodates a second double cabin with queen sized bed and private balcony and a smaller third cabin (with queen bed or twin beds) with a semi private sundeck in front of the wheelhouse. All cabins have vaulted 2 metre high ceilings, air-conditioning and en-suite facilities.
Itinerary
The standard itinerary is for 7 nights and starts and finishes on Moyo Island - staying at Amanwana - with 5 nights afloat on Amanikan exploring Indonesia's pristine eastern archipelago, including a chance to experience the extraordinary Komodo dragons up close.
Facilities & Services
A motor cruiser accompanies Amanikan to whisk guests off to remote beaches, island excursions and fishing expeditions. On board there are sun loungers, snorkelling and diving equipment for six guests as well as an experienced dive instructor. Two daily dives per person are included in the rates and guests can even take their PADI certification during their stay on board. With 450 species of reef coral and 1,200 species of fish, the sheer biodiversity is amazing and the volcanic underwater topography is home to some of the best dive sites in the world.
A dedicated Chef is available on board to cater for all dining requests - from candle-lit family dinners on the top deck, to more casual beach picnics or deliciously fresh seafood barbeques.
Weather & Seasons
Indonesia has evenly consistent year-round temperatures, with two seasons. The dry season runs from May to September and the wet from October to April. While seasonally these periods differ greatly in characteristics, the actual temperature doesn't vary so much - with an average high of 29ºC to 33ºC all year round. In fact, the average low temperature fluctuates even less, as it is just 22ºC or 23ºC every month of the year.
