Luxury cruising along the mighty Mekong River between Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh

7 nights from around £4,670pp sharing a Design Suite on all-inclusive basis
Flights and transfers available at additional charge as part of your tailor-made journey

Discover life on Southeast Asia’s greatest river aboard the Aqua Mekong, a luxury 'floating boutique hotel' that glides along the scenic route between Siem Reap in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. This is set to become one of the great ways to explore Indochina in luxury. Choose from 3, 4 or 7 nights on board and your preferred direction.

Accommodation

All 20 Design Suites have the same elegant interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows, so picking one comes down to whether you’d prefer a furnished balcony or a slightly larger living area with a daybed. The plush Californian king beds ensure a good night's sleep and the chic bathroom has a large walk-in rainforest shower, plus his and hers sinks. There is also a flat screen television and complimentary high speed wireless internet in the suites. Four suites on each deck have a balcony.

The Journey

The cruise starts either in Saigon or in Siem Reap - and you would be right to point out that Siem Reap is not on the Mekong!  So, during high water season, Aqua Mekong actually charts a course along the Tonle Sap, an extraordinary river and lake system that acts as a tributary of the Mekong, but which seasonally reverses course so water from the Mekong flows up into Tonle Sap Lake, swelling its size sixfold and allowing Aqua Mekong to navigate all the way to the northern shore, a short drive from Siem Reap and the fabulous temple system of Angkor Wat. During low water season, cruises are 3 nights from Cambodia to Vietnam or 4 nights from Vietnam to Cambodia.

Facilities & Services

When not enjoying one of the daily excursions, spend some time on the observation deck to see Vietnamese villages, French colonial church spires and gilded Buddhist stupas as you cruise along. The sleek indoor lounge is a great place to relax in a cool atmosphere with a refreshing drinks. The cinema shows films to educate you about the area and its history whilst the outdoor pool is particularly inviting during the warmer parts of the day, especially as the bar is within arm's reach. There is also a spa for you to treat yourself to a bit of pampering and

a gym if you feel the need for a workout.

One of Asia's top ranked chefs - David Thompson - is responsible for ensuring that guests enjoy outstanding cuisine during their Mekong adventure, all served in the dining room with its floor to ceiling windows affording panoramic views.

Weather & Seasons

This is a hot year-round destination divided in to two distinct seasons. December to April is the dry season with occasional rain. May to November is the wet season with showers almost every day
