Accommodation
Galenia's ten suites are twin or double semi-detached rooms set within five thatched cottages, each with its own covered stoep – Afrikaans for a veranda. The spacious suites all have a seating area with an open fire log and mod-cons include WiFi, satellite TV, safe, minibar, and a tea and coffee station. Bathrooms have a free standing bathtub and an outdoor shower.
Activities & Experiences
Guests are encouraged to join the guided morning 'estate walks' - taking about an hour - before breakfast and can also enjoy an afternoon olive familiarisation and tasting during their stay to learn more about the various cultivars and the complete process from tree to bottle.
Numerous walking trails are easily accessible and suitable for an undemanding ‘adventure’ into unspoilt nature and, for those who want to up the pace, mountain bikes are ideal for some of the longer trails.
Galenia’s location is an ideal base for exploring the nearby Robertson Wine Valley, the Breede River, the Koo Valley and the Klein Karoo.

The Main House is where the dining room (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner) and sitting room are located, plus a large terrace. There's also a swimming pool, dotted with sun-loungers, in the garden.

Year-round destination but the best months to visit are from September to March when it's warm, sunny and dry.

It's about a 2 hour drive from Franschhoek, about 2 hours from Cape Town, and about 2 hours from Hermanus.
