Day 3: Kigali to Nyungwe Forest

We'll pick you up from the hotel for the 5 hour cross-country drive to Nyungwe Forest. It's a long but fascinating trip with plenty to see en route. You’ll stop in Butare to visit Nyanza Royal Palace, former home to the King of Rwanda, and take a look around the National Museum which showcases Rwandan life through the centuries. After the journey, enjoy a well-earned rest at Nuyngwe House, set in an expansive tea plantation overlooking seemingly endless jungle. The major attraction here are the chimpanzees and other primates which call the Nyungwe Forest National Park home. Nyungwe House is the latest luxury lodge within the One & Only portfolio bringing five star luxury to the Nyungwe Forest Reserve.
