Fabulously luxurious adult-only private island resort with superb service

7 nights from £3,500pp sharing a Beach Bungalow with private pool, including breakfast and transfers

The ultimate in sophisticated luxury resorts, Huvafen Fushi is a contemporary island paradise with superb staff and the world's first underwater spa. Set within its own lagoon, Huvafen Fushi is a naturalist’s wonderland where the landscapes above and below the waterline are breathtakingly untouched.

Accommodation

Facing the ocean and with direct beach access, the 8 Beach Bungalows and the 8 (more spacious) Deluxe Beach Bungalows have oversized king-beds, iPods, espresso machines, the most amazing bathrooms and private plunge pools. A single two-bedroom Beach Pavilion is pure indulgence, spanning over two floors, including a large infinity pool and offering spectacular views of the lagoon.

If you would prefer to live overwater, 12 Lagoon Bungalows (for sublime sunrises) feature split-level sun-decks, infinity pool and a free-standing bath cantilevered over the ocean. Whilst the 12 Ocean Pool Villas (for sublime sunsets) are even more spacious and include a living room, glass floors over the ocean and a Jacuzzi.

Activities & Experiences

Once you've had enough lying beside your private plunge pool or beside the main infinity pool, there's plenty of activities on offer to keep all guests happy. How about yoga in its over-water pavilion? Or hit the gym for a workout with a difference - over-water ocean views! The watersports centre offers complimentary non-motorised water sports, plus the resort's PADI Dive Centre can take you scuba diving or guided snorkelling on the house reef, the coral garden or even night snorkelling. Perhaps spend some time with the in-house Marine Biologist to learn about what's going on around you in the ocean. Guests can also arrange sunset cruises, dolphin searching cruises or big game fishing trips.

Spa & Wellness

Every treatment at the Huvafen Spa (which also just happens to have the world's first underwater massage treatment rooms) is personalised to individual requirements, from simple massages to totally bespoke experiences and guests love the mirrors cleverly situated beneath massage tables so the aquatic display can be viewed throughout your treatment, even on the upper level, there are glass-bottomed treatment areas, perfect for watching the ocean life. As dusk approaches, join the resort's marine biologist on a fascinating night time viewing of the spa aquarium, accompanied by a glass of champagne.

The Raw Bar is perfect for those looking to keep on eye on their health and diet whilst at the resort, and there's also complimentary morning yoga, a fully equipped over-water fitness room and a floatation pool.

Bars & Restaurants

Guests at Huvafen Fushi are often astonished by the array of outstanding bars, lounges and restaurants here. Seafood dining, accompanied by sommelier chosen wines, is on offer at Salt, whilst Celcius is an elegant but relaxed environment for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Raw, as its name implies, serves a selection of healthy, raw cuisine and juices, whilst Fogliani's provides a taste of Europe (it even has its own wood-fired pizza oven). Umbar is a chilled beachside area perfect for snacks and sipping cocktails by the infinity pool, but the pièce de résistance is Vinum: the underwater wine cellar and dining room.

Weather & Seasons

The Maldives has a tropical climate with two seasons: the dry northeast monsoon from December to March, and the wet southwestern monsoon from May to November, with more strong winds and rain. April is a transitional period noted for clear water and heat.

The temperature remains remarkably consistent at around 30°C.
