Imanta Resort Punta de Mita is situated on the Riviera Nayarit on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, in a remarkably biodiverse area. With over 250 acres of lush, wildlife-rich jungle, mountain vistas and a private beach, this secluded hideaway with just 15 rooms and villas, is the perfect place to kick back and get away from it all.
Accommodation
Imanta has just 13 rooms and 2 villas, so guests enjoy of an intimate atmosphere with a highly personalised service. The suites, which have ocean, mountain or jungle views, are incredibly spacious and are designed in an elegant, contemporary style with special features including ceiling high native wood mirrors and outdoor showers.
Activities & Experiences
When you can tear yourself away from the beach, eplore Imanta’s coastline by kayak and discover underwater caves and hidden beaches. Tours and activities can be arranged through the Guest Experience Managers and include hiking and water sports. Tennis courts and a swimming pool are also available in the resort. Whales can be viewed from the beach from December through April but special boat trips can be arranged
for an even closer look.
Facilities & Services
The resort has its own private beach, swimming pool, gym, and open-air spa. The food served at Imanta is fresh and made with locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients. Fish is caught each morning in the ocean at the front of the hotel, cooked and served to guests in the evening. Choose whether to dine with your feet in the warm sand or with a backdrop of sweeping views over the bay at the Tukipa restaurant.
Weather & Seasons
The hot and humid rainy summer season lasts from June to October The best month to visit is November, after the summer rains. January and February is whale-watching season. Come between November and March to see nesting and hatching turtles, from December to March if you want to watch dolphins and whales, or in April to spot giant manta rays.
Getting Here
The resort is 27 miles from Puerto Vallarta airport. Cars can be hired at the airport or we can arrange private transfers.
