Activities & Experiences

The Sacred Valley of the Incas is home to some of the best Inca sites, and is a great place to start your visit to Cusco. The Valley generally has year-round good weather and stunning landscapes, picturesque villages, folk arts and crafts and friendly indigenous people, offering a real authentic Peruvian experience for travellers. We can arrange a wide variety of fascinating full and half day guided tours. The valley is also a hotspot for eco friendly adventure sports such as trekking, horseback riding, mountain biking and rafting.

Facilities & Services

An a la carte menu is offered for dinner in the restaurant and on the terrace, whilst picnics and packed lunches can be arranged if you're heading out to explore on foot, bikes or horseback. The hacienda also has a lounge bar with a large selection of macerated piscos for cocktail hour. Guests can also enjoy wine tasting, coca leaf reading, kite flying, payment to the earth ceremony and eat at the chef's table. And, after a day exploring, you can treat yourself to a blissfully restorative massage in your room.

Weather & Seasons

The Sacred Valley's location and altitude result in two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season typically lasts from November to March, with the heaviest rains in January and February. The best time to visit Cuzco and the Sacred Valley is April to October.

Getting Here

Most people reach Cuzco and the Sacred Valley as part of a wider Peru or Latin America tour, which our travel experts have tailor-made. However, if you wanted just to visit Cuzco, it's a 13 hour flight from London to Lima, followed by an 80 minute domestic flight to Cuzco (overnight in Lima usually required). For an overnight in Lima, we recommend Atemporal in the chic Miraflores neighbourhood.
