Your base for the next two nights is Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp, a small, classic, luxury tented camp set on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, home to a huge variety of animals including lion, jackal, cheetah, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, hippo, elephant and the elusive leopard.

Stretching over 260 sq. km, its extinct crater floor is teeming with wildlife, more than justifying its UNESCO World Heritage status. Surrounded by deep escarpment walls, you will explore this 3 million year old caldera with its massive herds of zebra and the highest known density of lions on the planet. Depending on the time of year, you may also see flamingos in their thousands. Overnight at Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti
This morning you’ll be picked up in a specially modified safari Land Cruiser for the 3 hour journey, enjoying the sights of big game country and stopping for a picnic en route. You'll arrive at your next camp in the late afternoon, in perfect time for a sundowner as the sun sets across the seemingly endless Serengeti plains. Your base for the next 3 nights is at Kichakani Serengeti Camp - a small and intimate mobile camp with ten luxury safari tents each with en-suite bathrooms. Following the great wildebeest migration (heading north in July/August or heading back south again in October/November), the camp moves twice a year. .
