Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel, Mauritius

Romantic adult-only boutique hotel on the island's north coast

7 nights from around £1,575pp, including half board, daily yoga, water sports, flights and transfers

A romantic and laid-back getaway for adults only in a secluded cove-side setting on the island’s north coast, perfect for friends, couples and honeymooners. It's a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and was voted the Indian Ocean's Leading Boutique Hotel at the World Travel Awards 2017 (for the fourth year running).

Accommodation

The low-key style of the Paradise Cove is reflected in the simple yet charming décor of the 67 rooms and suites. The four-poster beds with their white drapes create a feeling of romance, and the terrace or balconies have views out over the grounds towards the cove or they overlook the water directly. The Deluxe and Deluxe Premium Rooms are both a comfortable choice; however, if you’re seeking a little more space, an upgrade to a Club Junior or Senior Suite is highly recommended.

Activities & Experiences

Free activities include 2 floodlit tennis courts, yoga, water skiing, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking and stand up paddle. Other activities include deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, catamaran cruises,

Facilities & Services

After a sundowner beside the infinity pool, with a view of the northern islands, dining is at one of three lovely sea-facing restaurants. The main Cove Restaurant is alfresco with well-spaced tables on the terrace and lattice work gazebos, which also serves a buffet-style breakfast with international and local options. Indigo Restaurant serves fresh seafood à la carte – including a you&me seafood platter for two – under thatch beside the ocean. There are also 2 bars, 2 swimming pools, fitness studio and a lovely spa.

Weather & Seasons

Mauritius enjoys a typically tropical climate with year-round heat, although the southeast trade winds help it never to feel too muggy. The summer months are from December to April, when it can nevertheless be extremely humid, and the winter, such as it is, runs from May to November, and is cooler and drier. Coastal temperatures range between 25°C and 33°C in summer and between 18°C and 24°C in winter.
