Popular with families, this stylish 5* hotel complex, next to Dorada beach in Lanzarote’s prime but low-key resort of Playa Blanca, has sweeping sea views towards neighbouring islands. Rooms are well-designed and spacious, and facilities include 6 pools (2 for children), eight restaurants, a large spa, fitness, tennis, Pilates, and a great kids' club. The resort is modern and practical, but well designed in colonial style with plenty of space.

Activities & Experiences

The resort offers an extensive array of facilities for adults and children, whether you want to be active or a relaxing holiday - or a mix of both. Lounge by one of the six swimming pools (two pools are for children) or take a relaxing dip in one of the two outdoor Jacuzzis. The more energetic can visit the sports centre where there is a full range of cardiovascular and weight training equipment and classes to help you master your swimming skills or perfect your posture with Pilates. Other sporting activities are beach volleyball, basketball and two floodlit tennis courts. The beachfront Thalasso and Spa Centre is a haven of peace and wellbeing, with cabins offering dry and wet treatments, sauna and aromatic Turkish steam bath and heated seawater pool for hydrotherapies.

Families

Kikoland is a world full of fantasy for the younger ones in the family, with activities organised for each specific age group, an area to give them free rein of their imagination and enjoy making friends and be entertained by the expert children entertainers. There are also two pools just for children and a good selection of family accommodation options. Babysitting service available.

In addition to the sports, fitness and spa facilities, there are eight restaurants, including three buffets, serving local, international, Italian and Mexican food. Isla de Lobos, which is popular with non-guests, is one of the best restaurants in Lanzarote and has a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Chef Carlos Pérez works with local producers to get the best ingredients to create superlative cuisine. You can have freshly-squeezed juices and cocktails by the pool.

Lanzarote has a mild year-round climate with little or no humidity, and very little rain. Temperatures are cooler from December to March and average 21°C; May, June and September it's around 25°C, rising to around 30°C in July and August.
