Accommodation
Many of the 50 rooms and suites have panoramic windows offering spectacular views of the Douro river or surrounding countryside. All rooms and suites have luxurious bathrooms, some with spacious showers and some with bathtubs. There are also 5 apartments, which all share a pool, and two semi-detached villas each with a private pool.
Wellness Programmes
Combining some of the best holistic treatments with the healing benefits of the surrounding environment plus the expert knowledge of the Six Senses spa team, the wellness programmes will set you on a path towards a healthier lifestyle. This innovative approach allows the team to measure and analyse key physiological biomarkers and provide guests with lifestyle and nutritional advice, and design a personalised programme of spa treatments, fitness and wellness activities based on the preventative principles of the Eastern medicine approach and the result-oriented Western influences. The hotel also offers a selection of yoga and fitness programmes.
Facilities & Services
Alongside the luxurious accommodation, fantastic spa and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, there's a highly regarded restaurant with an exemplary wine list (or you can enjoy a private picnic beside the river), chill in the meditation pod, or take a pilates, yoga or fitness class. Beyond the resort, the enchanting Douro Valley awaits. Take a day trip to Régua for a river cruise and port tastings or amble around picturesque Lamego before climbing up hundreds of zigzagging stairs to its intricate hilltop sanctuary. Staff will happily arrange a visit to neighbouring estate Quinta do Mourão, where the cool, dark cellars protect 100-year-old ports.

Porto and the Douro Valley can be visited year-round, but the best times to travel are spring, early summer and autumn for warm, sunny weather. In July and August temperatures can reach as high as 45°C.
