Accommodation
Made famous in the movie of Agatha Christie's 'Death on the Nile', the boat has 18 cabins and five suites laid out over two decks.
The Journey
Each day is mapped out with timings for shore excursions and meals. The crew are utterly charming, and nothing is too much trouble. There are professional, experienced guides on board who take you to the sights. Steam Ship Sudan plies the waters of the Nile between Luxor and Aswan on a four night itinerary, and between Aswan and Luxor on a three night itinerary.
Facilities & Services
The upper deck has comfortable sunbeds and chairs to snooze, read, draw, and watch the lush greenery slide by as you glide along.
Weather & Seasons
Egypt has year-round sun, and almost no rain. Daytime temperatures range from pleasantly warm in the winter to very hot in the summer. Northerly cities such as Cairo and Alexandria are generally about 5ºC cooler than southerly areas such as Aswan and Abu Simbel.
Getting Here
Departures are from Luxor or Aswan. To reach the docks, we recommend flying from Cairo to either destination. To Luxor it's an hour, and to Aswan it's 90 minutes. There are several daily flights, so there's no need to stay overnight in Cairo unless you wish to.
