With far reaching views from its hillside location in Puglia’s delightful Valle d’Itria region, this lovely stone villa cleverly incorporates 5 conical trulli and offers a good combination of indoor and outdoor living. The 10m x 5m swimming pool (with hydro-massage jets at one end) is dotted with sun loungers, whilst the upper terrace has a comfy outdoor seating area and shaded pergola for al fresco dining.
Accommodation
The villa has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all with wrought iron and painted wood furniture, and air-conditioning. There is a bathroom and a separate shower room, both with hand-basins and loos. Whilst the house has been cleverly designed to maximise indoor space and carefully preserve the property's original character, it does mean some compromise on normal interior proportions. If you're happy with that, this gorgeous little house is a delight. The sitting areas, in the cool stone cone and under architectural arches, are served by satellite TV and wifi, and the rustic kitchen / diner is fully equipped but decidedly hobbit-like. However, for summer rentals, most meals are likely to be cooked outside on the built-in BBQ and then enjoyed al fresco on the terrace.

Neighbourhood
The nearest village is in easy walking distance (700m) and has a restaurant, bars, shops (for meat, fruit, bread and vegetables), newsagent, butcher, bank, and post office. If you want to go further afield to explore, it's just 3km to Alberobello, 7km to Le Grotte di Castellana,
25km to Polignano a Mare and 35km to Ostuni.
Weather & Seasons
The climate in Puglia is generally warm sunny and dry in April/May and again in October with the risk of the odd shower of rain. Sometimes it can be cool in the evenings. By June the weather settles in a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August when it can get a bit humid. Rain is unlikely but it can happen from time to time. June and September are particularly pleasurable months.
Getting Here
It's a 2 hour and 45 minute flight to Bari or Brindisi from the UK, and both airports are about 70km from the villa.
